What is a Lead?

Let’s start with the basics. A lead is a person who, in some way, shape or form, has indicated interest in your company’s product or service. Meaning, instead of getting a random cold call from someone who purchased your contact information, you hear from a business you’ve already opened communication with. For example, maybe you went to a landing page looking for a quote for auto insurance. Next thing you know, you are receiving an email or phone call about pricing options for car insurance. Isn’t that a little less creepy than receiving a call out of the blue?

At ThomasARTS, we have our own API to instantly take a lead from a prospect to a customer; it’s called LeadForward. The API has a four-step scrubbing process that allows us to give our client a highly qualified lead in a matter of seconds. The faster our client can reach the lead, the more successful it will be.
